Medical student dies after fall from college building in Lahore LAHORE: A 22-year-old medical student died on Tuesday after falling from the roof of a college building in Lahore, in an incident police described as suspicious and under investigation. The student, identified by police as Fareeha, fell from the third floor of Fatima Jinnah Medical University during the afternoon and was rushed to hospital by emergency responders, where she later died from severe head injuries, hospital sources said. Rescue 1122 officials said emergency teams were called to the campus shortly after the incident and transported the injured student for treatment. Police said she was a final-year MBBS student residing at the college hostel. Authorities said they are investigating whether the fall was a suicide attempt or accidental, while also examining other possible angles. University administration officials said Fareeha, who hailed from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, had been living in the hostel as a border. Hospital officials, however, said initial information suggested she may have been walking on the third-floor hostel premises when she felt dizzy and fell.
