AIRLINES On day one of the Dubai Airshow 2025, home airline Emirates has revealed that it will equip its fleet with Starlink Wi-Fi. Over 200 of the airline's Boeing 777s and Airbus A380s will be equipped with the tech enabling high-speed gate-to-gate internet access on flights. The carrier will roll out its new complementary Wi-Fi service immediately, starting with its Boeing 777 fleet before completing a fleet-wide installation by mid-2027. The first Starlink-enabled flight is scheduled to depart on November 23 at the conclusion of the Dubai Airshow. The Dubai-based carrier is busy fitting its fleet with Starlink's hardware to offer its customers free, high-speed Wi-Fi across all cabin classes. The onboard internet will be accessible with one click and will not require any kind of loyalty program membership or payment. Through Starlink, passengers will benefit from rapid and reliable internet that is capable of handling high-bandwidth demands, such as live streaming and gaming.
