Home Opposition leader urges political parties sign social contract for restoration of constitutional rule Opposition alliance Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Ain Pakistan chief Mehmood Khan Achakzai has urged all political parties to sign a new social contract for restoring the rule of the Constitution, assuring that PTI founder Imran Khan “will not take action against anyone” if constitutional order is upheld. TTAP leaders met the sisters of the PTI founder at Bani Gala, condemning the alleged violence against women outside Adiala Jail and expressing full solidarity with the family. The meeting was followed by a joint press conference in which TTIP leaders voiced alarm over the political climate, the state of democracy and what they described as repeated violations of constitutional boundaries. Addressing the media, Achakzai said a false impression has been created that “there is one man who is a rebel and must be broken.” He said the struggle was not of a single individual but of 250 million people. TTAP chief delivered a strong critique of the government, calling its actions “undemocratic” and “clear violations of human rights.”
