At least three people have been killed after a gunman opened fire in the streets of Austin, Texas, before being killed by police. According to Austin Police Chief Lisa Davis, officers who were working near the East 6th Street entertainment corridor quickly responded to the scene as bars were closing. She said officers immediately moved from East 6th to West 6th Street where they encountered a person with a gun. "Three of our officers returned fire, killing the suspect." Austin EMS Chief Robert Luckritz said paramedics and police officers arrived to the shooting scene and began treating patients 57 seconds after receiving a call around 1.59 am in front of Buford’s bar on West 6 Street.
