Serious incident outside Birmingham's Bullring as police set up cordons – Birmingham Live Skip to main content Police have sealed off a section of Birmingham city centre amid reports of an incident. Cordons have been placed across the entrance to a set of stairs next to the entrance to the Bullring Shopping Centre with officers standing guard. Several police vans and ambulances were also seen parked close to the complex around 5.10pm on Sunday (October 5). West Midlands Police are investigating and will be providing details shortly. There are no reports of any road closures and the rest of the centre is unaffected. Jordan Hart, 27, from Sheldon, said: "I saw about eight police cars, two British Transport armed police officers and two officers on bike patrol.
