Rogers helped Villa qualify for the Champions League and win the Europa League last season. Dan Mullan/Getty Images Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa in a £117million (€137m; $157m) deal. The 23-year-old has put pen to paper on a finalised six-year deal at Stamford Bridge with the option of a further 12 months. He will link up with the Chelsea squad following their pre-season tour of Australia and Asia, with fixtures taking place between July 28 and August 9. The Athletic exclusively revealed on Saturday that the Stamford Bridge club had reached a verbal agreement to sign the England international. That fee will represent a club record for Chelsea, surpassing the £106m they paid Benfica for Enzo Fernandez back in 2023, and is the highest value deal of the 2026 summer transfer window so far, surpassing the £116m Manchester City have agreed with Nottingham Forest for the signing of Elliot Anderson. Rogers was represented by his agents Footwork in the record deal.
