The Magpies beat Salford City 3-0 in the League Two playoff final at Wembley on Monday. Nottingham City Council said players and club officials will take to the Council House balcony to show off the trophy as part of the celebrations on Tuesday. It said the event would start at 15:00 BST at Old Market Square, and asked supporters to arrive no earlier than 14:00 to ensure there was time for preparations to be made. The authority said the celebration was designed to be a family event and stated strictly no alcohol, flares, pyrotechnics or smoke bombs would be permitted on the square. It advised attendees to wear hats and sunscreen and bring water bottles – there will be a free drinking water point at the event.
