Subsequently the CAPF, General Administration Act, 2026 was notified in the Gazette of India. Retired CAPF personnel and their families had planned the protest on April 9, on the occasion of Valour Day of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), observed to honour the bravery of CRPF personnel during the 1965 Battle of Rann of Kutch.
